Regulatory Information

The AST, part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), regulates the commercial space transportation industry to ensure safety, compliance, and promote launches.
The largest contingent of DOT workers outside of Washington, D.C. touching on every aspect of the FAA, including local Flight Standards (FSDO) and Manufacturing Inspection (MIDO) now Certificate Management Section offices.
The FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) is the medical certification, research, education, and occupational health wing of the FAA’s Office of Aerospace Medicine. The goal of our activities is to enhance aviation safety.
